Product Description

Grana Padano DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) is produced in many parts of northern Italy. This type of Grana Padano is produced in Mantua and subsequently selected the place of production directly from Giuseppe and Lorenzo Occelli.

They are cylindrical shape with a diameter of 35-45cm with convex top 18-25 cm. It is produced with 100% cow’s milk. The rind is hard, smooth with typical engravings of the Grana Padano Consortium trademark. Is 24 months of seasoning. It is light brown in color. The paste is pale yellow, hard and gritty and are prominent tyrosine crystals. It is very suitable as a table cheese or to flavor salads and stuffings or to be put on the dough. Excellent grating cheese because of its seasoning. It has an intense and strong taste with slightly spicy notes. It goes well with white wines or full-bodied reds decided.

PAIRINGS: Table cheese, to taste great during an aperitif or after a meal paired with the fresh seasonal fruit

IN THE KITCHEN: a lot is used as grated cheese to flavor pasta and meat dishes. Many chefs combine the at bat meat knife or with the flesh the gypsy cut into very thin slivers

WINES: It goes well with white firm and full-bodied reds

TASTE: Intense flavor and firm with slightly spicy notes
